Our Story
Hi! We’re Filippo and Julia, the founders of Alegria Surfskate. Our journey into surfskating started “late” in 2020 – I was 24, and Julia was 29. It was our first time on a skate. For me to improve my surfing, for Julia to feel the adrenaline. But we quickly realized that surfskating is not only that.
When Julia and I go skating together, it’s always fun and full of challenges. Every session brings new opportunities for improvement and growth.
Facing fears on the cement is hard, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. And yes, I always wear protection gear to keep it safe!
We created Alegria Surfskate to share this amazing experience with others. Our community is all about supporting each other, having fun, and pushing our limits – whether you’re a first-timer or a pro skater.
We believe that surfskating is a fantastic way to connect, learn, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Meet Julia
Co-Founder, SurfSkate Head Coach
Discovering the world of surfing and surfskating unlocked a hidden passion within me. These sports have brought immense joy and a sense of freedom to my life, and I am dedicated to sharing that with others.
I only started surfskating at 29, proving it's never too late to try something new. Engaging in these activities has taught me resilience, patience, and the thrill of conquering new challenges.
As a coach, I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment. My coaching is personalized, focusing on each individual's goals and helping them push their limits to turn dreams into reality. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to hone your skills, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

Four years ago, at 24, I jumped on a surfskate for the first time with the goal of improving my surfing.
I was pretty nervous, but I have slowly turned those fears into fun, thanks to Julia and the right protections.
Surfskating isn’t just about simulating surfing; it’s a wild ride of tackling challenges, mastering tricks and making awesome connections along the way.
My next big goal? A decent Front-side snap (both on land and in the water)!
